A guest room for little munchkins

Last year, my mom asked if I could redecorate my niece and nephew's guest bedroom in my parents' home.  Excited to take on a new challenge, I humbly accepted.  A couple of weeks later, Adam proposed and, well, wedding plans kind of took over my personal life.  I vowed to git 'er done as soon as the wedding + honeymoon was over, and so over one week in October (while my parents were vacationing in Florida), we camped out at mom and dad's and painted, sewed, sawed, nailed, stapled and hammered.  My mom was completely floored when she arrived home. We're still putting a few finishing touches on the space and will publish the big reveal very soon, but here's a sneak peak of some of the awesomeness I found on Etsy and sweet fabrics that served as a jumping point for the room's design.


I found this fun fabric at Mood Fabrics in NYC during my last trip, which I used as the basis of the room's overall color scheme:


I then bought some coordinating fabrics that were used to make decorative pillows for the two beds:
