Fireworks at home

How are you all on this lovely Canada Day slash 4th of July weekend? My dad celebrated his 65th birthday just a few short weeks ago, and as his birthday gift Adam and I arranged to take my parents to see the fireworks at La Ronde during the Canada Day long weekend.  I've seen many fireworks displays over the years, but there's nothing quite like being front-and-center for the show.  The fireworks are perfectly coordinated with a classical music arrangement, making the experience all the more mesmerizing.  And the use of color was amaaaazing!  Purple and orange, rainbow flavored, green and white - you name it.

I was so inspired by the beautiful colors and patterns that I started thinking about ways to incorporate fireworks influences in home decor.  Whether you inject bursts of color into a room or reference fireworks patterns in some of your accessories, there are plenty of ways to bring fireworks to your home (minus the fire hazard, of course).
