This past weekend, excitement rushed through my veins when a delivery truck stopped in front of my house and brought me my new sofa. I ordered it a couple of months back from Maison Corbeil, in a cream color. What a beauty! Look at her:
I know what you're thinking. A light colored couch with a baby in the house? Yeah, that's not going to stay white. Call me crazy/stubborn/stupid, but I feel that where there's a will, there's a way. First, I purchased fabric protection which gives me a 10-yr guarantee from most stains (including baby vomit and wine, yay!). Second, we'll be instituting a new rule in the house as soon as Sienna is old enough to understand them: food only in the kitchen and dining room, and art supplies only allowed in designated areas! I'm sure that's easier said than done, and I may be dreaming in technicolor but I am determined to take on this sofa challenge and test my theory that you CAN have kids and STILL have a nicely decorated home.
I guess time will tell (I feel a lot of "I told you so"s will be coming my way, but I'm mentally preparing myself to be strong and admit defeat, should y'all be right)
