For my birthday this year, Adam got me a subscription to OliveBox, a monthly service that ships a surprise package full of awesome paper products like stationery, books, artwork, and other tactile goodies. I know, you must be thinking, wow - what an amazing husband! He knows you SO well. Truth be told, Adam is no mind reader, but he IS a great listener. And he knows how much I LOOOOVE paper products. I first discovered the site via one of the many blogs I read (can't remember which) and I remember thinking that it was kismet; a SURPRISE box full of PAPER goodies sent by SNAIL MAIL??!?! Sign me up, buttercup!
So yeah, I received my first box this week and, naturally for the month of February, the OliveBox theme was focused on Love.
The box contained 4 items:
1. Moglea Mini Letterquette: a set of 12 letterpress cards and envelopes
2. Very Best Supply Co. Mechanical Pencil: old school look, new school function - love it!
3. 50 Vintage Stamps: perfect for all the craft projects I'll be doing :)
4. Message in a Bottle: "You are loved"
I have to be completely honest, I felt a bit let down when I opened the box. I guess I was expecting more value for our buck, but I guess that's also because the price is a bit more steep for Canadian residents (yay shipping costs and duties). I'm going to try and stay positive and hope that next month's surprise will be more exciting...!
Just curious - are there any other monthly subscription services like this that I don't know about??
