Today I'd like to share with you my biggest DIY accomplishment yet. It's been months in the making, actually. We had been living with a bare bulb over our dining room table since the area had been renovated and I was really hesitant to splurge on a brass chandelier (upwards of 1000$ for the really nice ones). So I took to the blogosphere and learned that I could make my own.
Months later, after spending a lot of time researching parts and coming up with my own design, I placed an order for all the material and got to work. I was surprised to see that, once you understand the general concepts of wiring, it really isn't that difficult to make a light fixture. You just need to have to time to research, plan, and assemble.
I'll be sharing the steps with you in my next post, but I just couldn't wait to share the final result with you.
