Scenes from Prince Edward Island

Over the years, I have had my fair share of travel to many countries around the world.  Though, I am sad to admit that I have not visited a whole lot in my own native land.

This summer, we decided to change that and planned a family trip to PEI.  Adam is a Nova Scotian native, so we arranged to meet up with his family in PEI for some long overdue quality time.

PEI did not disappoint!  It is such a beautiful island with simple and rustic charm. I can't believe I didn't come here sooner.  In fact, we loved it so much that we extended our trip to a full 2 weeks and have already talked about when we will return.  One thing to keep in mind if you are considering a vacation on the island: we learned (the hard way) that PEI cottages and rentals book up FAST - I suppose that with the rough US dollar exchange rate, Canadians are deciding more and more to travel within their borders.  We booked our airbnb cottage a couple of months before our trip and almost everything was already taken!

I'd like to share some of the island highlights with you, because this place really deserves some free publicity!
